Submission To The Savior
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
(James 4:7, Colossians 3:23)
The second man asked “What was that?”
The first man responded “No.”
Why is it that we cannot say "no" to our will, and "yes" to the will of God?
I don't know about you, but even though I have been a Christian for many years, I still find it hard to submit to the Lordship of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Submission to Jesus means recognizing His Sovereignty, and aligning our will with His. Why is it always a battle that rages in our inner self? Instead of allowing ourselves to be drawn in by our own passions and desires, we are to open our hearts to the Lord's guidance and protection. It's not a matter of giving up our identity or desires, but it is trusting that the Lord's perfect plans for us are good, and perfect. It will take determination and discipline to submit to the Lord Jesus everyday. Are we we willing to do it, and be blessed because of it?
It is better to do the Lord's will for us.
Because it blesses us our whole life through.
