Victory In Jesus

"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 
(1 Corinthians 15:57)

Walk-Line: Last night the President elect celebrated the victory of winning the presidential election. (11/5/2024) The word "victory" was mentioned several times in his speech to his supporters.
It is a wonderful feeling to obtain victory, whether it is a race we are running, a health condition we are battling, or a financial crisis we are working to get out from under. 

But the greatest victory for us as Christians, is the victory we find in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not just victory over sin and death, but victory over the challenges of everyday living. Because life can be a constant battle. One of the greatest obstacles, is the battle of ourselves. It is in the dealing with our selfish desires, our negative attitudes and actions, our inability to get along with others. The battle of pride, arrogance, jealousy, and yes hatred, which is so prevalent today. 

The apostle Paul tells us that the key to victory over our inward selfish battles, is total submission to our Lord Jesus Christ. As the line in this old hymn says: "All to Jesus, I surrender, all to Him, I freely give. I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live." When we surrender our whole lives to Jesus, and give all our battles to Him, then we will see victory, and feel the peace God wants us to have! GP
