WHERE COULD I GO BUT TO THE LORD? 

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30) 

 Walk-Line: The title of our walk-line today, asks us the question, in regards to our desperate need for salvation, and our daily help with the challenges of life. A quote from Peter in John 6:68 is the answer we are looking for. "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words to eternal life" There are many things people turn to when they need help with their problems, and trials in this life. And many after turning to these worldly avenues of help and comfort, go away disappointed and disillusioned. And the weight of not finding the proper help and comfort, lead many down a path of deep dark depression and destruction. Those who have been in this state, and sought out the help from the Lord, ask this question of realization : "Where Could I Go But To The Lord?" Where are you today in dealing with the pressures and challenges in your life? Our text is an invitation to come to Jesus for the help, comfort, and rest you need. The question is: Will you come to Jesus today? 

Living below in this old sinful world. 

Hardly a comfort can afford. 

Striving alone to face temptation so. 

Now won't you tell me. 

Where could I go but to the Lord

Seeking the refuge for my soul. 

Needing a friend to save me in the end. 

Won't you tell me. 

Where could I go but to the Lord 

Life here is grand with friends I love so dear 

Comfort I get from God's own word. 

Yet when I face that chilling hand of death. 

Won't you tell me. 

Where could I go but to the Lord 

Where could I go oh where could I go. 

Seeking the refuge for my soul. 

Needing a friend to save me in the end.
