Jesus Is Coming To Your Boat! 

 "Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” (Matthew 14:25-33) 

Walk-Line: This event that happened with Jesus walking on the water to the disciples, is a lesson in trust. I know that if I were in that boat with the disciples, and I saw someone walking on the water, I would be shaking in my boots as well. And when they saw that it was Jesus, instead of a ghost, Peter wanted to come out to Jesus on the water. Peter wanted to trust Jesus. He wanted to show that he had faith. Peter started out well, and walked toward Jesus, but when he saw how strong the wind was, he lost his nerve, and down in the water he went. But Jesus caught him, and rescued him from the restless sea. But before we criticize Peter, how many times have we started to to trust the Lord, only to develop doubts that the Lord would see us through? Today, this is a message for all of us! Jesus is coming to our boat. He is coming to take residency in our lives. Will we trust Him as our Savior, and Sustain-er of our lives. Or will we let the sea of doubt, drown us, and destroy our confidence, as we walk through this life? GP 

Jesus is coming to our boat. 

He is coming to live in our hearts, and lives. 

Will we turn our hearts to a sea of doubt 

Or will we trust Jesus, and in Him abide?
