"Nor Is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
Walk-line:
This statement was made by Peter while defending himself and John before the Sanhedrin after healing a lame man. The apostles were being questioned about the miracle and thier preaching of Jesus' resurrection. Peter boldly proclaims that Jesus alone is the source of salvation, challenging the religious authorities who rejected Him.
I have come to realize how important my relationship with my Savior, and Lord Jesus really is. For a long time, I thought it was alright to look to the world for my my happiness and fulfillment in this life.
I was wrong to do this. The challenge that Peter gave to the religious leaders, is the same challenge that is for me as well. I had not put Jesus first, even though I had been in the pastoral ministry, and full time service.
For me to have the contentment, and peace, for this life, and forever, I needed to put Jesus first in my life, and know for a fact that Jesus is not only the way to salvation, but the only one who can faithfully help me with the challenges I have in this life! GP
No other one can save us!
No other one can sustain us!
No other one can provide all that we need!
No other name in which we should heed!
