Selfishness Is Such A Mess
"For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God." (2 Timothy 3:2-4)
Walk-Line: I put myself in this category, as I observe society today; we are as the apostle Paul describes the attitude of people, to young Timothy. "For people will be lovers of self.." And He goes on to list a number of negative attributes stemming from the selfish heart of people. Yes, I have a selfish heart, and at times I love myself more than I do the Lord Jesus Christ, and other people. And truly it affects our relationships, as well as every aspect of our lives. It can make such a mess out of our lives. So to live a peaceful, and fulfilling life, is to live a life of humility, and surrender to the Word, and Will of God. When we desire God's way, instead of our own, only then will we reap the blessings of a life of selflessness and service. GP
A life of selfishness is a life of disappointment and despair.
But a life of selflessness leads to blessings that is beyond compare.
