Leaving Our Upper Room 

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samara, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

I got a call from a lady who was a stranger. I wasn't sure what her motivation was for calling me. Maybe this was a dangerous thing to do online, but I went ahead and told her that my main concern was that she come to know Jesus Christ, as her Savior and Lord. It wasn't long in our conversation, that I knew she wasn't interested at all.

Leaving Our Upper Room

The doors were locked

The disciples were hiding in fear.

Then our resurrected Savior came to them,

And showed Himself alive, and near.

In victory, He stood before them,

And sorrow, quickly turned to joy.

And now they were to leave the upper room.

The Gospel story they would go and tell. 

Will we leave our upper room and do the same?

Or will we stay in our comfort zones,

and watch the world go to hell?
