Where I Am
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)
Walk-Line:
One of first things you think about when they tell you you have cancer, or that your cancer has returned, is "How long do I have to live?" and "Where will I be when the Lord does call us home?" In this passage of Scripture, Jesus tells His disciples, and us, to "Not let our hearts be troubled." Well after getting bad news like I mentioned, how do you do that? It comes down to what it has always come down to, in our relationship with the Lord. It comes down to "faith." What does Jesus say, after He tells us to not let our hearts be troubled" He says: "you believe in God, believe also in Me." In essence Jesus is saying, that in faith, you take God, and Jesus, at their word. In looking back on our lives, we can see how faithful God has been. I know He has always showed up to provide whatever I needed, in dealing with the challenges that have come in my life. And I believe in⁹ the promise, that when we die to this life, we will immediately be in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. "Where I am, there you may also." What a precious promise! No matter where we are, His presence is with us. As believers in Christ, we can count on that everyday, and every moment of our lives. It should be no surprise that⁹ when we depart this life, we will see the one who died in our place, and made it possible for us to have this precious promise, be a reality! GP
Jesus promises His presence, and a place for all eternity.
If we believe on Him, and accept Him as our Lord and Savior,
We can count on His words, "Where I Am, you will always be.
